Mercy Neighborhood Ministries surrounds seniors with a caring community of support and advocates to help them maintain their independence. Seniors ages 60 and older, who live in zip codes 45206 and 45207, qualify for our comprehensive services:
- Crisis assistance
- Social activities
- Food pantry
Crisis Assistance
Advocating for stability
When difficulties arise, limited emergency help is available for those seniors that live in zip codes 45206 and 45207 that may need it. Some of the supportive services we offer include:
- Community Choice Food Pantry featuring non perishable food, fresh fruit and vegetables and personal care items
- Referrals to other community organizations
- Assistance completing paperwork related to insurance, public benefits, medical issues, etc.
- Wellness checks
Social Activities
Advocating for caring relationships
A regular schedule of social activities prevents the isolation and loneliness that is common to seniors. The staff and volunteers at Mercy Neighborhood Ministries establish relationships with seniors and offer:
- Birthday and holiday celebrations
- Caring phone calls
- Monthly luncheons and entertainment
- Spiritual visits
- Social visits

Mercy Neighborhood Ministries Food Pantry provides more than food—it’s a safe and friendly place to connect with a web of support, bridge a gap of need and be encouraged and refreshed.
